Hey there! I’m Sharon, creator, writer, and photographer of all the content you’ll find here on Heart and Stove.
I’m a Registered Dietitian, graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, health and wellness writer, and, most importantly, a self-taught home cook.
While I’ll always enjoy learning about nutrition and keeping up on the ever-changing world of health and wellness trends, it turns out I’m happiest when I’m creating – especially in the kitchen!
Nutrition really IS all about finding the right balance – and a balanced recipe collection is what you’ll find here. My recipes don’t fit any specific nutrition approach because I don’t strictly follow any one way of eating. Sometimes I play with gluten free, dairy free, and vegetarian/vegan recipes and sometimes I’m baking the old-fashioned way with flour, sugar, and butter.
I hope my recipes inspire you to get in the kitchen, get cooking, and find your own healthy balance!
When I’m not making a mess in the kitchen, you can find me writing, with my nose in a book, jamming to Hanson (mmmbop, y’all), working out (21 day fix-er + yoga + barre + zumba), and hanging with the cutest doodle in the world.
Meet Max, my Goldendoodle! I like to think of him as the real-life version of Clifford the Big Red Dog. He’s the official sous chef, crumb catcher, and behind-the-scenes photography assistant around here. Oh, and he inspired a whole line of dog collars! I love photography and travel, eat peanut butter by the spoonful, live for long summer days, and spend 90% of my time in workout gear because nothing beats stretchy pants. I currently live in Delaware with my family.
