ACV Braised Red Cabbage

Ingredients
  • ½ large head of red cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium red onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 tbsp butter (I use & recommend Kerrygold)
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ cup water
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
Instructions
  1. Melt butter in a pan over medium heat. Add cabbage & red onion and sauté 5 minutes.
  2. Add salt, water, and vinegar, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to medium low and cover pan. Let cabbage simmer, covered, about 20 minutes or until softened. Stir every 5-10 minutes.
Notes
To make vegan: use coconut oil in place of butter.
