Prep time:
Cook time:
Total time:
Serves: about 2 cups
  • 12 oz fresh cranberries, rinsed and picked over (remove any stems or too soft berries)
  • 6 tbsp maple syrup
  • zest and juice from 1 orange
  • extra orange zest for garnish, if desired
  1. Combine cranberries, maple syrup, and orange juice in a medium saucepan.
  2. Bring cranberry mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
  3. Reduce heat to medium-low and let simmer about 10 minutes or until cranberries have popped and mixture begins to thicken.
  4. Let cool about 10 minutes, then stir in orange zest. If cranberry sauce tastes too tart for your liking at this point, stir in an additional 1 tbsp maple syrup.
  5. Transfer to serving dish and garnish with extra orange zest. Enjoy!
